| WSA IP501 Wireless Specialty 1919 Radio | WSA IP501 Wireless Specialty One tube or outboard crystal radio. Louis Hazeltine first designed the SE1420 and its younger brother the IP501 wireless receiver. It can be operated by adding a crystal detector or using the built in one tube regenerative circuit. It was and is a great performer. The one pictured here works very well on a crystal or the one 201A tube; living in the city I only need 10-15 feet of wire laid across the floor to pick up a number stations; ad a long outside antenna in the evening and you will hear many stations. Isn't it something to be able to receive radio stations, including the broadcast band, using a radio that is 100 years old.
