Brown Amplifier for Crystal Set Radio
The S. G. Brown Microphone Amplifier was first introduced in England in 1923. What is unique about it is that it is a mechanical amplifier. A magnetic disk allowed the adjustment of a reed mechanism to get the most volume. I restored the unit so that it would work, but the results netted little increase in volume.
