Pye M78F Radio
The Pye M78F is a British radio with an interesting history. The radio was introduced in 1948 and the rising sun motif on the grill (like the symbol of Japan) was offensive to the people in England who were still recovering from WWII. Soon after the radio was introduced it was called back and all that were returned were burned. A few survived and this is one of them. See my article in Antique Radio Classified for a more detailed description of what happened to the M78F.
