Uncommon 01A Tubes
In the early days of commercial radio broadcasting it seems like everyone could get into the act. Not only did individuals make crystal sets and battery radios in their basements, but tubes were also manufactured. Some tubes were made in garages and the numbers manufactured were so small that they could stay under the radar screen and avoid paying royalties for patents. Pictured are a number of not so common 01A tubes. From left to right, in the back row are: Coronado 01AA, Northhome, WLS 4600, diktator, CeCo type A, Vactron, Sonatron, and ArchatronThe middle row has: Concert Master, Roy, Musselman 5VA, Alltron, Ureco, Stewart Warner, Magnatron, Everyeady and Ratheon. The front row, from left to right: National Union, Triad T-01A, Champion, Panama, Daitron, Ken-Rad, Silver Shield 200A, and Gold Seal. Also pictured elsewhere in the tube section of this website are several other uncommon 01A tubes like the O & T Electric, Arcturus, Fultone, and so forth.
