Amrad 3108 & 2634 Radio
The Amrad 3380 (which includes the 3108 & 2634) was first produced in October 1922. It cost $125. The American Radio and Research Corporation that made this set, unlike many set makers in the early years of radio, began with good funding behind it. None other than J. Pierpont Morgan backed Amrad. Unfortunately. After Morgan’s death the company did not do as well. It finally went bankrupt in 1925. What is unique about a number of Amrad radios from the early 1920s is that they are double-decker stacked sets like the one pictured.
