Atwater Kent 3925 Radio Breadboard, Reinhard
Atwater Kent 3925 Breadboard, Reinhard Bros. Atwater Kent began producing and selling radio components before it began selling complete radios. This unusual radio, manufactured by Reinhard Bros. Company in Minneapolis, uses Atwater Kent parts mounted on a bakelite base. The bakelite is engraved by each terminal post, identifying what it should connect to. One unusal feature is the five conical rubber feet under the board. This breadboard uses early Atwater Kent parts - all three units have tags that say 'Patent Pending' rather than 'Patents Pending' as seen on later units. The TA unit also has a black rheostat knob which indicates it is designed for UV201 tubes, which have 1-ampere filaments. It can be assumed that this Reinhard breadboard was made before Atwater Kent began selling complete radios. There is no manufacturer's name on the radio, but it appears in the Reinhard Bros. Company radio catalog which can be see in the picture below. Another example of this radio can be seen in the Pavik museum.
